    HeyBlue identifies what the user is trying to do — request time off.

  2. Permission check

    Validates the user can see their own balance and request leave for themselves.

  3. Policy lookup

    Reads your time-off policy, the user’s remaining balance, and their team’s coverage during the requested window.

  4. Action routing

    Drafts the leave record. Auto-approves under your manager’s rule when coverage is clean; otherwise routes to the manager.

  5. Status update

    Closes back to the asker with a clear, final answer — no follow-up needed.
